Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM) Process Engineer

JOB TITLE: Process Engineer
DEPARTMENT: Extrusion Blow Molding
REPORT TO: Production Manager

This position and will require the Process Engineer to work a varied schedule. An explanation will be provided by the Production Manager and/or Human Resource Manager during an interview.
Primary Purpose:
This position requires a thorough knowledge of the Extrusion Blow molding process and its related platforms. Experience and knowledge in the areas of tooling, quality, and process development is a must.
Specific Responsibilities/Essential Functions
1. Abides by all Client's Safety & Quality policies and procedures.
2. Has authority to stop machines/production to communicate safety, quality, machine problems, and breakdowns to Production Supervisor or Management representative.
3. Develop and maintain Best in Class Processes.
4. Develop machine criteria for plastic processes.
5. Perform start ups of new equipment, tooling and processes
6. Perform design of experiments to establish process parameters.
7. Produce sample products as necessary.
8. Optimize process parameters based on product performance.
9. Establish process control parameters
10. Support and establish machine process parameters to achieve optimum quality containers.
11. Work with QA to measure containers to confirm physical characteristics and establish performance capabilities.
12. Responsible for communicating quality and/or required equipment maintenance issues to management for prompt disposition.
13. Review test data and compare it with the Tentative Performance Specifications.
14. Recommend design modifications and process improvements if required to meet the Tentative Performance Specifications.
15. Prepare final report including: Process Set up Sheets and recommended Process Control Parameters.
16. Share plastic processing and mechanical knowledge with machine operators and maintenance personnel at all levels to provide continuous training and promote teamwork.
17. Share Best in Class data with other manufacturing facilities as necessary.
18. Supports Client by conducting tests and trials on containers or processes.
19. Start up and validate of new products.
20. Visit customers to validate container functionality, as necessary
21. Must work with Production Manager and corporate office to establish a repeatable process for containers.
22. Continuously improve process related trouble shooting tools.
23. Drive and assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI).
24. Schedule training classes for operators to inform and teach SOP's and WI's.
25. Audit the process and the structure.
26. Provide leadership and direction to operators in establishing and maintaining processes and driving continuous improvement.
27. Schedule and conduct training classes to enhance the knowledge of operators, Supervisors, Managers, and/or customers.
28. Test the trainees to insure they have obtained sufficient knowledge to operate the extrusion equipment safely and with a high degree of success.
29. Maintain & control production tooling.
30. Coordinate with mold shops regarding cleaning, repairs, and modification.
31. Other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications and Requirements:
Experience
1 -3 years of operating extrusion machines, engineering and/or maintenance experience.
Possess a mechanical, technical, and process aptitude.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in engineering is preferred.
Level of Authority and Authorization
You have the right to hold for inspection; any product you feel does not meet customer/company specifications.
? Authority to stop any observed unsafe practices.
? Those employees with authorized training can shut down/stop equipment if continued operation is a threat to any employee's health and safety.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
