Laughlin Outdoor Living is a full service landscape and hardscape design/build company serving Erie, Ottawa, Sandusky, Huron and Seneca and surrounding counties.
Since 2010, we have been providing exceptional outdoor living spaces for our clients.
Description of Position:
Landscape Laborers will assist crews of 2-4 team members and perform assigned installation and construction jobs ensuring that all work performed is done to the highest standard, on time, and to budget.
Positions are full time.
Qualified applicants will have a desire to create inspired outdoor living spaces for our clients, will value teamwork, and will have a positive and upbeat attitude.
Specific Responsibilities include the following:
Work with crew members to complete residential and commercial landscape projects including new landscape install and applicable lighting and water features.
Ensure that team has necessary tools and materials to accomplish projects.
Manage time, productivity, project budgets, and material record keeping.
Provide consistent and timely communication with customers, team members and managers throughout the entire project.
Ensure adherence to plans and quality of work.
Recommend modifications based on field conditions, client requests, and/or supply issues.
Promote safety, performance, and well-being of all crews.
Perform general landscape installation and maintenance procedures.
Necessary skills/
Qualifications:
Must possess strong leadership skills with crew and ability to communicate effectively with management and clients in order to meet project deadlines.
Must be able to read, understand, and communicate landscape plan drawings and specification documents.
Must be able to endure repetitive bending and twisting motions.
Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds.
Must be able to properly and efficiently complete necessary job site and company paperwork.
Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers.
Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license and good driving record.
CDL preferred but not required.
Desirable skills/
Qualifications:
Preferred 2 years' experience conducting residential and commercial landscape projects.
Minimum 1 year experience in landscape installation.
All successful applicants must demonstrate the ability to be self-starting and work cooperatively and efficiently in a team environment and must share a commitment to the highest standards in customer service, quality, and professionalism.
